George Lakoff's new book, Thinking Points: Communicating Our American Values and Vision is being released. The Rockridge Institute, who's publishing it, saysYou, the grassroots progressive community, have expressed a need for a short, easy-to-read systematic account of the progressive vision, for the morals and principles that apply across issue areas, and for all the essentials of framing. poor lakoff is peddling the Libertarian joke... liberals want the Gov to treat you like a mom; conservatives want the Gov to treat you like a Dad; but libertarians want the Gov to treat you like an adult
The problem is UUs don't realize Lakoff is selling us a joke and has dropped the punch line.
One time, Liberalism and Progressivism was about power; seizing it, and using it... for the benefit of all so all would be treated as adults.... not this pyscho babble Lakoff has peddled to us.
