Another UU bites the dust

For those of you who equate Unitarian Universalism with political liberalism, I would ask that you read this blog entry entitled So Long UU.

I understand where he's coming from. I'm politically a liberal, but I find it offensive when it's assumed that everyone in my congregation is also liberal. UUism is religiously liberal - I assume we'd all agree on that. But we shouldn't carry that over into the political arena.

I never read CraponSundays. I simply didn't like the name.

A UU Church is a really poor choice for anyone uncomfortable with political liberals.

It's as simple as that. I don't find the politics overbearing at my Church or earlier UU Churches (although I was a political Liberal back then...)

But the bottom line is if you find Liberal Politics offensive, you find yourself very uncomfortable in a UU Church.

If you join one, and then decide to rail about it all the time, well, you're going to get boring fast I'm afraid. The only question to ask, what in the world were you thinking when you joined?
